About Laura Stanfield Prichard
Laura has been a regular lecturer for the San Francisco Symphony since 1997, for the Chicago Symphony since 2008, and has also presented lectures at the Banff Centre, the Fenice Opera House in Venice, and the Pittsburgh Symphony. She is a member of the Music Department at Northeastern, teaches Music Appreciation and Composition at Nashua Community College (NH), and is also the Principal Pre-Concert Speaker for Boston Baroque, Boston Opera Collaborative, and the 4-week summer Berkshire Choral Festival. A graduate of Yale University and the UIUC School of Music, she was a traveling scholar to the University of Chicago and helped to catalog the musical bequest of Renaissance-Baroque scholar Howard Mayer Brown for the Newberry Library.
